HIS Bride

So, this morning I watched the Royal Wedding. Kate's dress was beautiful and she looked gorgeous! William looked very handsome. It was a fairytale wedding with the horse and carriage and everything else!

This reminded me and I thought, "Wait a minute, can you imagine what it will be like when Christ comes back to receive His bride, the church?" That's an exciting thought isn't it?
"For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." - Ephesians 5:23, 25-27
..."A glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish..." White as snow, pure.

"And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints." Revelation 19:5-8

"And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus." - Revelation 22:17, 20

Angels

Psalm 91:11 - "For He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."

I find this verse very comforting. Just thought I would share that. :)

Now, here is what I really want to say. A couple days ago, my mom told me about a book she's been reading. It talked about how we are always thinking "I." Now, I love the verses that tell me how the Lord is holding me and always there for me and will never leave me!!! But, I've discovered how comforting it is to read verses that tell about Who God Is, also.

Deuteronomy 4:31a- "For the Lord thy God is a merciful God."

2 Samuel 22:32- "For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God?"

John 6:33- "For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world."

Numbers 23:19- "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"

Exodus 34:5-7a - "And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty;"

Night y'all!

Let The Adventure Begin!

So hey y'all! How are you?
Here is an absolutely adorable story from this past summer while I was working at camp. Liz, Kate, and I were teaching children's church during family week and we were talking about Joseph when his brothers threw him in the well. I asked the children, "Was Joseph alone in the well?" A little girl answered, "No, he had Jesus and the bugs!" Aww so cute!! ..."the bugs"...haha amazing. :)

Oh, and never trust Spencer McGall with a hose...you'll end up giving yourself a pretty nice egg on your forehead that doesn't disappear for about 2-3 weeks... :p Spence, pleeeaase don't do that to me this year, okay??

Exciting news!! A couple from Shepherds Ministries came to speak at our church this past Sunday. I've known about Shepherds for a couple years now. However, they have alot of open land. Katie and I will, hopefully, be looking into trying to associate our Therapeutic Riding Barn with them. We really desire for our barn to be more like a mission field along with the therapy! We're really excited to see where the Lord is going to lead us on this! In the meantime, we will be interning at a couple places next summer and scoping out land in Colorado this year (our other place we've thought to establish our barn at). Please be praying that the Lord will lead and make His will clear to us! We are so very excited and we are enjoying our adventure leading to our dream! :)

Mommy

So, wow, the past 24 hours have been crazy. Last night, I watched the UConn Men's Basketball Team play the championship game and win it! I, also, changed my major. Through trying to do specific courses and the guidance of the Lord (shutting doors that I wanted open) and my mom, I figured out that Special Education was not the way I needed to go. So, I chose Equine Science as an Animal Science major. :) Haha, CURVEBALL! I could only get into 1 out of 5 classes that I need for next semester. I wigged out--had a migraine--all that fun stuff. What was I going to do?! I thought. Well, I had an impromptu meeting with a professor/advisor in the School of Agriculture. Turns out, I need to declare my major now and then I can get into the classes I need. Great! I was wicked excited and happy...I went to the Pep Rally at Gample for the celebration of the championship (had an amazing time!)...I came home....and then, I freaked. It all happened SO fast! All I could think was "what am I doing?!" I prayed and the thought came into my mind "hello! talk to mom! that always helps!" (so glad the Lord reminded me of this!) So, I talked to mom. :) I felt great afterwards. In the end, the Lord will have me majoring in exactly what He wants me to. In the meanwhile, He gave me an amazing mom for everything! It is so relaxing and helpful to talk to her when I'm wigging out over anything. <3 Love you Mommy!! <3

Blessings

So, I was wigging out again. o.O I've been trying to choose classes for next semester...it hasn't been going well. All the classes I need to take for my major, I don't look forward to taking. Earlier in the week/last week, my mom and I talked about a backup plan...switching my major. I like the backup plan but I still like the idea of my major I've chosen for now...it's very confusing. Anyway, I was freaking out. But--the Lord knows exactly what I need! It's been rainy and cloudy and dreary all day here. About 15 minutes ago, the sun came peeking out. It immediately brightened my day! In the end, I'm going to do exactly what the Lord wants me to do. :)

Stop And Smell The Roses

So...I have been starting my posts with a funny story...wait a minute and let me think of one, okay?

*chirp chirp* ..... *chirp chirp* ..... *ribbit ribbit*  o.O How did a frog get in here? I'm so very sorry for the interruption. Well, I'm sorry to say it--but, I can't think of a funny story to tell.

So, who was impressed with waking up to snow this morning? ;) Well, at first, I was not happy to hear that it was going to snow. However, my attitude changed when I saw the snow falling last night (I was up late due to my procrastinating...I really ought to kick that habit). The snow was falling as large fluffy flakes. It was completely peaceful outside. To put it simply, it was beautiful! The saying "Take time to stop and smell the roses" came into my mind. The Lord's creation is beautiful. All of it. We need to take time to stop and smell the roses. Look around us and appreciate everything the Lord has blessed us with. Spring is on its way. However, take time to enjoy the snow. It really is amazingly beautiful! :)

Don't forget: "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" *Ecclesiastes 3.1
