Where Has The Time Gone?

*counts on fingers* Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday...Well, I am 4 days away from Finals Week here at UConn. Wow, it does not feel like Thanksgiving break was just two weeks ago! Did y'all have  a good Thanksgiving? :) I baked an applie pie this year as I did last year. However, this year was the first time making my very own crust from scratch. Yay!

Well, after Finals comes one of my most favorite times of the year! On December 16th at 6:30pm the choir of First Baptist Church of Enfield will perform the Christmas Cantata "Season Of Joy." This is definitely one of my most favorite nights of the entire year! We get so many visitors on that night which means opportunities to spread the good news of the gospel! The choir and children's choir has been hard at work and we are excited to share our joy in this season with everyone!

So, if there's a Christmas cantata being performed...that means it's Christmas time! What's so special about this time of year? I know, I know, kids will answer "PRESENTS!" And, to be honest, I think everyone, including me, can admit that we do enjoy receiving presents from our loved  ones. However, Santa, presents, pretty lights, christmas carols...none of these are the true REAL reason for the season. So, what is? Here's one of my favorite passages in the Bible:

In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria. And all went to be registered, each to his own town. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”
When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. - Luke 2:1-16
I don't think that I need to explain what, or really WHO, the real reason for the season is...the above tells it all. Remember the real reason for the season!
God Bless,
Lyss

Halfway Through Semester!

So, you know that you're halfway through the semester when about half of the people in the reading room are taking naps instead of doing schoolwork. And I'm thinking that I might just join the napping crowd today. ;)

This reminds me of how we have no strength on our own. I think of the verse 2 Corinthians 12:9 - "But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me." Without God's strength I have nothing. He's the One Who holds me up and strengthens me in life when I feel like I have no strength left in me. He's always there to catch me. :) Keep this in mind as you live day to day. God is right there with His perfect strength.

Time Flies

So, throw a clock out a window and watch time fly, kay? That's how I feel about this year haha.

Summer is almost over and it feels like it just began. I worked at camp again this summer as a counselor. I loved it (as usual)! :) One thing that I really like is doing devotions for my cabin each night. Even when you're the one teaching, you're still learning. And I love listening to the input from the girls afterwards. They always had amazing point of views on the subjects. Here's an important lesson that people need to learn and that I'm still learning. You can learn from ANYONE. It doesn't matter if that person is older or younger than you. God puts people in your life for a reason.

Another thing that I've been learning is that MY plan is NOT GOD'S plan. Who else likes to plan their own future? I'm one of those people who likes to have everything planned out ahead of time. But, God has been teaching and showing me that my plan is not His plan. And the best thing about that? HIS plan is the perfect plan for my life. I need to trust Him and WAIT on His timing. I know so many people who have a life verse. Well, I have a life chapter haha. It's Ecclesiastes 3. Ecclesiastes 3 tells how there is a time for EVERYTHING. God makes everything beautiful in HIS time (not my time).

School starts up again next Monday. Please be praying that I can be a shining light, showing God's mercy and grace, to my friends and coworkers this semester.

Remember that God is always there! He won't ever leave His children!

Love,
Alyssa

Should we be sad that roses have thorns? Or glad because thorns have roses?

Spring semester ended about 2 1/2 weeks ago. My family and I went on vacation and just returned last friday. It was amazing! You see, we have a view about vacation that many people don't really take. We go where we know no one. Yes, that's right, no one. This way, there are no obligations to do anything. We can live it minute by minute, day by day. And the best thing? We have time to be a family and spend time together relaxing. I love my family. The Lord has blessed me so much!

Roses have thorns or thorns have roses? Which is the view to take? I don't know. I think I like looking at it as I'm glad that thorns have roses (a silver lining to every cloud). The Lord sends "roses" into our lives to outweigh the "thorns." I know, you're thinking, "but aren't there alot more thorns than roses on a bush?" Yes, there certainly are. But, have you noticed how much larger the roses are than the thorns? That's how I view blessings over trials. There are many trials that we all go through in life, but the blessings always outweigh the trials. :)

Did I ever tell you guys that I fell off a horse and broke my collarbone and shoulder blade? Yeah, I did that about 3 months ago. I've been out of the sling and brace for a couple weeks now. It feels so good to be free! Lots of physical therapy ahead of me. I had a session yesterday...oh my gosh, I'm so sore. But along with the broken bones, I also damaged a nerve and compressed another. And on top of it all, I'm right handed...so, guess which arm all of this happened to? Uh-huh, my right arm--talk about alot of thorns. But, you know what? The Lord used this just to show me how blessed I am. My family and friends helped me so much. And not having the use of my right arm reminded me to be thankful that this was only temporary. I have the use of all my limbs, among other things--sight, smell, hearing. There are so many who don't have this. For instance, those who fight for our country many times end up sacrificing these and, sometimes, even their lives. Remember to pray for those who are protecting our country--protecting us. Remember to thank the Lord for everything you have. <3

Hope y'all are doing well!

He Is Alive

Can you believe that it is already Easter? Where has the time flown?

But, hey, time is not the reason for this post. :)

"But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.” And they remembered his words, and returning from the tomb they told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest." Luke 24:1-9

What do I want to focus on?

1. The question "Why do you seek the living among the dead?"

  • This just screams "power" in my mind. Death was defeated at the resurrection! How amazing is that?! "He is not here, but has risen." How much we should rejoice! Our Savior is alive!

2. "And they remembered his words, and returning from the tomb they told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest."

  • Are we doing this? Are we spreading the word that Jesus is alive? That He was not defeated by death but death was defeated by Him.
Just something to think about. :)

I hope y'all had an amazing Resurrection Sunday! God Bless!

Lessons Learned

Hey y'all! Wow, it's been awhile since I last posted...oops. Anyways, I never did get to show Celebration. She developed eye ulcers before the show. So, instead, I got to use an Andalusian horse named Andy (go figure). He was a brat...but cute...'till 10 minutes before the show when he proceeded to step on my foot and dislocate my pinky toe. We placed 9th...haha oh well.

So, this semester is definitely, by far, my favorite semester so far!

Well, now to write what I really want to say. Last night, Pastor Heiland said something that really caught my attention. "What God calls us to do, He'll enable us to do." Isn't that just such a cool realization? (at least, it was to me) For example, I reallyyy want to start a Christian Therapeutic Riding barn. My desire is for it to become a mission field for people and their families. (oh, and update: we're hoping to locate near a military hospital so that we can also be a service to veterans.) This past Saturday, I went to High Hopes Therapeutic Riding Center in Old Lyme, CT. It was absolutely amazing! Seeing all of it in action made me want to reach my dream even more! But...what else did I see? $$$$$$ <--a bunch of those in my head. However, that is not the only obstacle to overcome. What I know and believe is that if my dream is the Lord's will for my life, HE will provide everything that is needed to get there and do it. And, who knows? He may have something completely different planned for me that I haven't even considered (though, I reallyyy hope it's the barn). Either way, I know He has a plan for my life and I'm wicked exicted to see where He leads me!

"And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."- Philippians 1:6

Also, girls? I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. But, I realized something else last night too (it was the night for realizations in my life...). I've always been so incredibly critical of myself. We always wonder: "Am I smart enough?" "Am I pretty enough for my crush to like me?" "Do I have what it takes?" And so many more things. But, you know what? The Lord made me, you, and everyone else exactly the way He wanted us to be. He created them for their own special purpose. Whenever you start to have doubts, think about the Lord. What does He look at? The outside? No. He looks at the inside, at our attitudes--our hearts.

"But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”- 1 Samuel 16:7

"but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him,
in those who hope in his steadfast love." - Psalm 147:11

"He has told you, O man, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?" - Micah 6:8

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might."-Deuteronomy 6:5

His Strength Is Perfect

My interesting tidbit of the day? Katie is training a chicken and she thinks it's cute, cuddly, and sweet. And he apparently likes to talk quietly while she holds him. Adorable :)

So, the first few weeks of my sophomore year have been absolutely nutzo! I can't believe how busy I am. I'm only taking 13 credits. I decided to drop my agriculture economics class (no way was I going to pass that class). I get to train a horse this semester for one of my classes. I'm so excited! I'm going to meet him/her later this afternoon. I will try to remember to take a picture and I'll post it on here. :) Back to what I was saying. I had a cold for 2 1/2 weeks and it's still affecting my asthma. However, as the Lord has been showing me these last few weeks, His strength is perfect when I am weak. There were many times where I just couldn't do any more and didn't think I'd make it through the week without going crazy. But, every time, the Lord picked me up, held me, strengthened me, and brought me through. At Camp Northfield we have a saying which says "If the Lord brings you to it, He'll bring you through it." This is absolute truth.

I'm getting excited. I still have four more years here at UConn. But, I've been volunteering at a therapeutic riding barn and I'm loving every minute of it. Each client and horse are my inspiration to do well in my studies and reach my goal of having my own christian therapeutic riding barn. Kate and I want it to be a mission field. We see so many people going out to other countries or to people who speak a different language in the U.S. But, we don't see many going out to those who have disabilities and their families. We have such a burden to help these people and show them God's love. I pray that, even as I'm volunteering, they will see HIS love.

In the meanwhile, let the adventures begin!!! :)

A Shelter In The Time Of Storm

"The raging storms may round us beat,
A Shelter in the time of storm
We’ll never leave our safe retreat,
A Shelter in the time of storm."

So, who is looking forward to Hurricane Irene? I know, for my area, it seems like it won't be a hurricane (only for the southern part of the state). However, that does not mean that I have reason to relax. But, you know what? I know that God is my shelter in time of storm--whether it's a literal storm or a spiritual/emotional storm. Hang on to that everyone! Praying for your safety and may you trust in God--Who is bigger than any storm!

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation." - Psalm 91

Dreaming

Door hinges hurt... That's all I'm going to say. (I can be a little clumsy haha)

My mom gave me an amazing idea a couple nights ago. She told me I should keep a special journal to put my ideas for the barn in. :) I am now doing that. Here are my ideas: I want to put names from the bible above each stall door in the barn. I want a special biblical name for the barn structure itself. And then, the business/farm name itself. :) So far, I have two names picked out for above the stalls: Michael and Gabriel. I see them as reminders that angels are watching over us. :) I have many ideas about the theme of the business name: Isaiah 40:31, Sunshine just beyond the clouds, Angel Song, Many think that those with disabilities are missing out...but have you thought about how much we are missing out on?, Child-like faith, and many others. I'm really excited to keep thinking of more ideas! May the Lord lead me on this journey. :)

Mysterious Ways

Okay, so I found out that there is no such thing as a Paperfly. My youth group leader told me that they existed because someone else told him that they existed. I googled them. They don't exist. Sad day.

Anyways, tonight the Lord sent me a reminder of how He has my whole life planned already. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. He works in mysterious ways--ways you could never imagine. It excites me; knowing that the Lord has everything planned. I am to wait, look to Him for guidance, and enjoy the adventure. It's amazing to see things fall into place! I'm so thankful to the Lord! :)

Night y'all :)

Oh yeah, Baby! I'm a Sophomore!

Woo! Yeah, Baby! I'm a Sophomore!

I can't believe how fast this school year went by! It feels like I just started my Freshman year (haha not really. I'm just sayin' that because it's what people say all the time. "It feels like just yesterday..." etc.) Anyways, my Freshman year was full of fun, friends, stress, sleep deprivation, blessings, and much more. I can't tell y'all how much I appreciate my family and friends for their support and encouragement! However, the One I need to thank and appreciate the most is my Lord and Savior! I relied very heavily on the verse 2 Corinthians 12:9 which says, "But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me." Let me tell you, the Lord's grace is always sufficient! Sometimes, I felt as if nothing could get me to stay awake long enough to keep studying or felt as if there was no way I could pass an exam because I was so tired. The Lord ALWAYS provided. He held me up with His hands. He never let me go!

Next comes summer. I'm so excited to be a counselor again for camp and can't wait to meet all the new campers and catch up with the returning ones! This year, there will be many new staff members. We will become a family and support group to one another and lifelong friendships will be formed. <3

New Adventures are always coming! The Lord will always be with me! And I can't wait to see what will come my way!

HIS Bride

So, this morning I watched the Royal Wedding. Kate's dress was beautiful and she looked gorgeous! William looked very handsome. It was a fairytale wedding with the horse and carriage and everything else!

This reminded me and I thought, "Wait a minute, can you imagine what it will be like when Christ comes back to receive His bride, the church?" That's an exciting thought isn't it?
"For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." - Ephesians 5:23, 25-27
..."A glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish..." White as snow, pure.

"And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints." Revelation 19:5-8

"And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus." - Revelation 22:17, 20

Angels

Psalm 91:11 - "For He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."

I find this verse very comforting. Just thought I would share that. :)

Now, here is what I really want to say. A couple days ago, my mom told me about a book she's been reading. It talked about how we are always thinking "I." Now, I love the verses that tell me how the Lord is holding me and always there for me and will never leave me!!! But, I've discovered how comforting it is to read verses that tell about Who God Is, also.

Deuteronomy 4:31a- "For the Lord thy God is a merciful God."

2 Samuel 22:32- "For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God?"

John 6:33- "For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world."

Numbers 23:19- "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"

Exodus 34:5-7a - "And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty;"

Night y'all!

Let The Adventure Begin!

So hey y'all! How are you?
Here is an absolutely adorable story from this past summer while I was working at camp. Liz, Kate, and I were teaching children's church during family week and we were talking about Joseph when his brothers threw him in the well. I asked the children, "Was Joseph alone in the well?" A little girl answered, "No, he had Jesus and the bugs!" Aww so cute!! ..."the bugs"...haha amazing. :)

Oh, and never trust Spencer McGall with a hose...you'll end up giving yourself a pretty nice egg on your forehead that doesn't disappear for about 2-3 weeks... :p Spence, pleeeaase don't do that to me this year, okay??

Exciting news!! A couple from Shepherds Ministries came to speak at our church this past Sunday. I've known about Shepherds for a couple years now. However, they have alot of open land. Katie and I will, hopefully, be looking into trying to associate our Therapeutic Riding Barn with them. We really desire for our barn to be more like a mission field along with the therapy! We're really excited to see where the Lord is going to lead us on this! In the meantime, we will be interning at a couple places next summer and scoping out land in Colorado this year (our other place we've thought to establish our barn at). Please be praying that the Lord will lead and make His will clear to us! We are so very excited and we are enjoying our adventure leading to our dream! :)

Mommy

So, wow, the past 24 hours have been crazy. Last night, I watched the UConn Men's Basketball Team play the championship game and win it! I, also, changed my major. Through trying to do specific courses and the guidance of the Lord (shutting doors that I wanted open) and my mom, I figured out that Special Education was not the way I needed to go. So, I chose Equine Science as an Animal Science major. :) Haha, CURVEBALL! I could only get into 1 out of 5 classes that I need for next semester. I wigged out--had a migraine--all that fun stuff. What was I going to do?! I thought. Well, I had an impromptu meeting with a professor/advisor in the School of Agriculture. Turns out, I need to declare my major now and then I can get into the classes I need. Great! I was wicked excited and happy...I went to the Pep Rally at Gample for the celebration of the championship (had an amazing time!)...I came home....and then, I freaked. It all happened SO fast! All I could think was "what am I doing?!" I prayed and the thought came into my mind "hello! talk to mom! that always helps!" (so glad the Lord reminded me of this!) So, I talked to mom. :) I felt great afterwards. In the end, the Lord will have me majoring in exactly what He wants me to. In the meanwhile, He gave me an amazing mom for everything! It is so relaxing and helpful to talk to her when I'm wigging out over anything. <3 Love you Mommy!! <3

Blessings

So, I was wigging out again. o.O I've been trying to choose classes for next semester...it hasn't been going well. All the classes I need to take for my major, I don't look forward to taking. Earlier in the week/last week, my mom and I talked about a backup plan...switching my major. I like the backup plan but I still like the idea of my major I've chosen for now...it's very confusing. Anyway, I was freaking out. But--the Lord knows exactly what I need! It's been rainy and cloudy and dreary all day here. About 15 minutes ago, the sun came peeking out. It immediately brightened my day! In the end, I'm going to do exactly what the Lord wants me to do. :)

Stop And Smell The Roses

So...I have been starting my posts with a funny story...wait a minute and let me think of one, okay?

*chirp chirp* ..... *chirp chirp* ..... *ribbit ribbit*  o.O How did a frog get in here? I'm so very sorry for the interruption. Well, I'm sorry to say it--but, I can't think of a funny story to tell.

So, who was impressed with waking up to snow this morning? ;) Well, at first, I was not happy to hear that it was going to snow. However, my attitude changed when I saw the snow falling last night (I was up late due to my procrastinating...I really ought to kick that habit). The snow was falling as large fluffy flakes. It was completely peaceful outside. To put it simply, it was beautiful! The saying "Take time to stop and smell the roses" came into my mind. The Lord's creation is beautiful. All of it. We need to take time to stop and smell the roses. Look around us and appreciate everything the Lord has blessed us with. Spring is on its way. However, take time to enjoy the snow. It really is amazingly beautiful! :)

Don't forget: "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" *Ecclesiastes 3.1

Silver Lining To Every Cloud

I shall first start off with a lesson that EVERYONE should put into practice (then, I won't be alone.)
-How to look like an idiot in the reading room 101: take an unplanned nap and then jolt awake sending your book flying through the air.
I hope you all take a chance to experience this. :)

Anyway, hello to y'all! How are you?
So, on facebook I saw that many people weren't having the best week. I know that I wish this week would just end. I've gotten some news that I didn't want to hear...I had this underlying hope I would never have to hear it. However, I thought I would write to encourage y'all that it's not ever as bad as it seems. There is a silver lining to ever cloud. :)

Here are some verses that I find comforting and encouraging:

- 2 Corinthians 12:9 - And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
- Philippians 4:19 - But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
- Isaiah 41:10 - Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
- Isaiah 26:3 - Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
- Psalm 55:22 - Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Hope these help! I know that it reminds me that I'm not alone--the Lord is always with me! :)
Have a good night y'all!

Patience Is A Virtue

So lately, I have been freaking out. My grades for this semester, so far, are not what I would like them to be. This has been causing me to worry about whether I'm going to be able to make it into the School of Education at UConn. Yup, that was me last week--wigging out over my future haha. So, I take the next most logical step in MY mind (what I should have done, was pray). I went to Mom. This turned out very well. We came up with a back-up plan for if science courses kick my butt next semester and I relaxed immediately. Then, I listened to a song (I LOVE music). The lyrics are:

And I don’t know how the story ends
But I'll be alright cause You own it
I don’t know where the highway bends
But I’m doing just fine
Cause You're in control
Even when I don’t know
Where my life’s gonna go

The truth is, the LORD holds my future. He already knows whether I'm going to become a Special Education teacher or a Landscape Architect (my other option) or something else that I haven't thought of! Do you know how comforting this is? I LOVE the verse Jeremiah 29:11-

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

and the verse Acts 1:7-

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

I need to be patient and see where the Lord leads me. He holds my future and has already written it--this is very comforting. It's time for me to sit back and enjoy the ride. :)
